Thank you from the ADHF

THANK YOU from the Australian Dental Health Foundation (ADHF)

For the first time, this year ADAQ members were invited to make a donation to the ADHF Charity as part of their renewal of membership of ADAQ. These donations amounted to $882. On behalf of the ADHF, I extend a huge thank you to all those members who donated.

In financial year 2023 ADHF received donations from ADA and dental companies totalling $190,000 as well as about $70,000 from individuals, mainly dentists or family members of dentists. These funds are used to employ staff who connect patients, who otherwise fall through the cracks of our private and public systems with volunteer dentists and other oral health practitioners who provide pro bono dental care. These patients are people from a variety of disadvantaged backgrounds including those impacted by domestic violence as well as refugees and asylum seekers.

Last financial year, our volunteers provided pro bono dental care to the value of $1.414M to more than 1300 patients, all of whom were referred by one of the 80 charities we work with. Every dollar donated helps to assist those in need.
