What dentists need to know about the QScript rollout

9 July 2021

QScript is Queensland’s real-time prescription monitoring system and it is one step closer to being implemented for health practitioners to use

The Queensland Health dashboard allows you to review a patient’s medicine prescription history. In late 2021, you will need to check QScript when prescribing or dispensing any monitored medicine.

To prepare for the launch of QScript, ADAQ encourages Dentists to register for the portal. Registering now means dentists will be ready to log in and use QScript when it goes live.

Register on the QScript registration portal.

QScript Learning Portal

The QScript Learning portal  has launched and is now available to the dental profession. Dentists can select from a suite of eLearning modules, videos, webinars, and factsheets based on their individual learning needs.

For the latest information outlining the key changes occurring to Queensland’s legislative and regulatory framework in relation to QScript, we recommend completing two eLearning modules;

  1. QScript and the new Act,and
  2. High Risk Clinical Scenarios

Both of which can be found under the learning area “Your legislative requirements.”

Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points are available for undertaking these learning modules.

Make sure to add to your calendar QScript’s webinar series, starting Wednesday 4 August 2021 with Dr Felicity Jensen’s presentation that will introduce QScript and the new Medicines and Poisons Act (2019).
